I love this album so so so so much already, it pulls at every heartstring i possess, especially Carousel. But let's talk about what's new because we know about what we already had: I Wait, I Wait, I Wait has been on repeat since this morning, a new Laufey song for me to feel down to the core. "I wait for the sorrow, The blue of tomorrow, Regrets of yesterday" and "The price of a cynic is joy for just a minute" are modes I've lived in far too long for me to not shed a tear listening to this. On top of that Lafuey personally decided she hated me by also releasing I'll Forget About You (In Time). Why she felt the need to run my heart over with a pickup truck, I couldn't tell you. Wowowowow all around. Madwoman is so much fun, How I Get is poetry, this is the extended album I could have wanted and then some. AND THE CASSETTE IS GREEN!!!! HOLY PEAK!!!!

Okay, we need to talk about this. I discovered Laufey on a rainy day in 2021, tiny dorm window open with music playing out of my speaker as I always did at the time in 505A. The smell of petrichor infused with this song hitting my ears for the first time was religious. From there I was a fan of "luh-fey," listening to the tracks on this album on repeat to this day. Knowing this before Laufey blew up is crazy. Like the movies is probably like the single most important song to ever exist ever to me.

I blinked and suddenly i had a valentine, and it was Laufey. I think of this album and what it means to me SO often it's not even funny. and to even TRY and pick a favorite track on this? fucked up and twisted. I can't do it. Right now I am feeling very 'Hi,' so I'm putting that but do not be fooled. Everything here is so special to me oh my god i love you Laufey okay thanks bye
